How do I improve my website’s SEO?

Thank you for asking, here is my answer…

There are two main parts you need to take care of:

1) On-page SEO.

2) Off-page SEO.

On-page SEO is everything you can do to your pages/website such as proper use of keywords on the title tag, on the first paragraph of your content, proper internal linking, indelibility of your pages, avoiding spider loops, making sure there are no technical errors that will stop the search engines from indexing or crawling your web pages.

You also want to create great content, but not just any content. In fact, you want authority, well-research, high quality and engaging content that others will love to read and share with friends.

Off-page SEO is everything you can do outside your website such as getting high quality links from related websites that consider high authority in your niche. These links need to be out of love, meaning, given to you because your website deserve to get them. You also want to build your social presence, specially in Facebook, twitter, google+.

There is a lot more to it, but if you take care of the basics (great content, proper on-page SEO, and get high quality links) you will be ahead of your competitors!
